Old Faithful

Yesterday we found out that there's an art show in Jackson Hole this weekend, so while John watched the kids and got everything packed up and put away (he's pretty great!), I went down to check it out. It was by far the best art show I've ever been to, but most things were a bit pricey. Looking was still fun though!

After I got back to the motorhome, we headed towards Yellowstone by way of Grand Teton National Park. We stopped at the first visitor's center inside Yellowstone, so that the littles could get their "passports" stamped, and on our way back out, Big Sister fell down and busted her lip! She did not think that was a very good welcome to Yellowstone gift! (It kind if reminded me of the time that Jamie got her finger smashed by the motorhome door as soon as we arrived at Mount Rushmore. She was probably about the same age as Big Sister is now.) We cleaned it up and put some of Little Bud's teething gel on it, hoping to numb the pain. We also gave her some calming medicine, and she held a frozen fruit squish on it to keep the swelling down. She must have had at least 3 fruit squishes today, since she had to eat each one as it melted, before getting a new one to apply again as an ice pack. Her lip is still quite large, but we're hoping the swelling goes down and it feels better in the morning.

On our way to West Yellowstone, we stopped off to see Old Faithful. Our timing was lucky; we only had to wait about 20 minutes for the eruption. It was such a neat sight to see! We're looking forward to spending a few days exploring all the cool things Yellowstone has to offer!
