Last Day

Big Sister woke up this morning reminding us that we only had 1 more day at Disney!  Unfortunately, before that Little Bud woke up crying VERY early, and nothing seemed to calm him down!  Poor little guy is teething again :(  He finally went back to sleep about an hour before we had planned to head out for our last day at the Magic Kingdom.  So, Big Sister was the only one who was bright eyed and bushy tailed today; the rest of us were quite tired this morning.

Our boat docked just in time to catch the Welcome Show, and then we headed straight back to Fantasyland.  Our first stop was Enchanted Tales with Belle, since we had only been through once last week.  The wait time was listed at 20 minutes (the least we'd seen it all week!), but we ended up spending about 45 minutes in line (someone up ahead of us was holding a spot for 15 other people who swooped in at the last minute and the attraction attendants weren't very fare in how they integrated the regular and FastPass lines -and you can't get regular FastPasses for the attraction, only those using the trial Magic Wristbands could get FastPasses).  Yuck!  BUT, Big Sister loved it!  It really is a great attraction.  She played the part of Phillipe (Belle's father's horse), this time.  Little Bud even seemed to enjoy himself too (despite being tired/teething).
After that we went Under the Sea with Ariel one last time.  Big Sister told us it's her favorite (along with the Star Tours ride).  On our way over to Splash Mountain, we stopped by to meet Captain Hook.  John and I took turns riding Splash Mountain with Big Sister.  It always surprises me how she doesn't even hesitate to ride anything, she just gets in line and hops on with a smile!  She of course played her little, "It's not scary, there's no big drop off" game with me again ;). She kept it up until we were going up the last hill, when she turned to me, flashed a big smile and said, "It IS a big drop off!!"

Big Sister requested that we ride the People Mover again, so we did.  Little Bud really likes that ride too, since he can sit beside John like a big boy!  We hadn't ridden the train around the park yet, so we made the loop before we changed the kids into swim suites and let them splash around at the Casey Jr. Splash Station.

After that, we waved goodbye and loaded up for one last boat ride back to the Fort Wilderness campground.  We did a little pre-packing before heading to the pool for a bit.  John took Big Sister to the big pool so that she could go down the water slide a few times, while Little Bud and I headed straight to the kids play area.  John and Big Sister joined us for a while, then we rode the bikes back to the campsite where we finished packing up and started our journey home!

We went back and forth about leaving tonight, instead of in the morning, and in the end, the idea if dividing up the 9+ hour drive won out.  Both littles were fast asleep in their car seats before we even made it off Disney property :)

A few days ago a Disney Cast Member gave these to Big Sister.  She was sad to leave them behind, so John took a picture of her with them so she will always remember them.  He's such a sweet Daddy!!

Crystal Palace

Today we went back to the MK!  It was an Extra Magic day, so we planned to leave the Motorhome at 7:10, to give us plenty of time to make it to the Welcome Show.  Somehow we actually managed to leave right on time ;)

We rode all of our favorites again, starting with Peter Pan.  We also went ahead and got a FastPass to ride it again later, since the line is always long (which is why before today, we only rode it once).  We dodged the rain on and off all day, but thankfully it didn't put a damper on our fun!

We had lunch reservations at the Crystal Palace, where the littles were able to meet Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore  and Piglet.  Unfortunately Little Bud had a diaper catastrophe during lunch, so he had to finish the meal (and meet some of the characters!) without pants!  I will be forever grateful to the bathroom cleaning lady for helping through the diaper clean up!

After lunch we had FastPasses to ride Splash Mountain, but it was closed!  So, we decided to head back to the campground and hit the pool, but on our way out, we realized that the afternoon parade would be starting in 15 minutes, and since Big Sister loves parades so much, we decided to hang around.  This week is, "Talk Like a Pirate Week" at Disney, so the pirate characters that aren't usually at the Magic Kingdom (Jake, Captain Hook and Jack Sparrow) are making special appearances and they had a couple of pre-parade pirate floats, which was fun to see.

We rode the boat back to the campground and headed straight to the pool.  Big Sister and Little Bud had lots of fun!  Then, we came back, changed clothes and rode the bikes to the camp fire sing-a-long.  Big Sister was excited to get Dale's signature while he and Chip were playing horse shoes with the kids.

Little Bud has finally started walking!  If he's in a rush, he crawls (because he's lightning fast on his hands and knees!), but he's walking a lot more, and even stands up to walk in his own.  Every day his balance seems to get better and he can walk a bit farther.  How many kids can say they learned to walk at Disney World?!

Hollywood Studios

We finally ventured over to Hollywood Studios, and we had such a fun day!  We started off by riding Star Tours, the Star Wars ride.  We weren't sure if Big Sister would like it or not, but she thought it was great!!  She couldn't wait to take me on it as soon as she and John came out the exit.

She's played a little game with me, telling me how slow and/or not scary a particular ride is (after she's already ridden it with John, right before we go on using the Baby Swap pass), even though we both know the ride is fast and/or scary. Once we're on the ride, I pretend to be scared and she thinks she's pulled a big prank on me!  She's done the same thing over and over again, and it's been so fun to see her mischievous little face each time!  I love my funny girl!!

While we were riding Star Tours, John and Little Bud went to grab a FastPass for the Toy Story ride.  It was about 9:30 and the FastPasses were already at 4:00!  As far as I can tell, that seems to be the most popular ride in all of the parks.

We met back up at the Little Mermaid show, which both kids enjoyed!  Little Bud isn't a fan of shows, but he seems to like the Little Mermaid (he was super bashful when she came to our table at the princess breakfast and lunch).  Then, in a great display of parental love, John and I tag teamed lines for meeting Jake and Sophia, so that the Littles could meet both characters in a more reasonable amount of time :)

We finished just in time to catch the next Disney Junior Live show (John actually went to stand in line for us while we met Sophia; he's such a great Daddy!!).

John took Big Sister to the Indiana Jones show, while Little Bud enjoyed a nap in his stroller.  While they were in the show, I realized I didn't have my bag with me.  Instead of panicking, I assumed that John had taken it to the show with them.  When they came out of the show and didn't have the bag, I panicked!  It had my phone and camera in it (along with all of our pictures from this trip!).  Thankfully there are still good people in the world, and someone turned the bag into guest services!  I wish I could thank whoever found it, I'm so grateful to them!!

After our successful trip to guest services, we quickly went to see Beauty and the Beast (we made it with only a few minutes to spare!).  It was such a nice show, kind of a shortened musical of the story.  John and Big Sister rode Star Tours one last time before it was time to use our FastPass for Toy Story Mania.  It was a fun, 3D game ride, but the current wait time was 90 minutes!  I can't imagine waiting that long to ride.  We were happy to have our FastPass!

Big Sister likes to sit by herself on the bus!  We actually had the whole bus to ourselves this morning.
