Animal Kingdom

This morning we journeyed over to the Animal Kingdom.  Unfortunately both littles seemed to wake up on the wrong side of the bed (probably had something to do with our late night last night), so the first part of the morning wasn't the best experience (to put it nicely!).  After we finished the Safari, we had a little chat with Grumpy Gus (otherwise known as Big Sister), and things turned around a bit.  We rode the TriceraTop Spin and then decided to check out the Finding Nemo musical, which Big Sister LOVED, but of course Little Bud was not a fan.

The kids were both excited to meet Goofy and hug Pluto again.  This was Little Bud's happiest character meeting to date; he gave Goofy and Pluto a few high fives each and told them good bye over and over again until we they were out of sight.

Before lunch the kids played for a bit in the Boneyard Playground.  We ended up having to buy lunch in the park because the crows ate most of our sandwiches right through the plastic bag they were in!  So, if you go to the Animal Kingdom, hide your food well ;)

When we came out of lunch it was raining, so we had to hang out in the dining area for a while, but the littles were entertained with the pipe cleaners and bubbles that I brought to pass the time waiting in line (which thankfully we haven't had to use yet!).

Since we were already a little wet and Little Bud was napping, John and Big Sister decided to ride Kali River Rapids.    We decided to wait out the rain (after all, my Dad has always said if you don't like the weather in central Florida, wait an hour, and it will change!) to see Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade.  Big Sister is a big fan of parades and on our last trip to Disney, this one was her favorite, so we didn't want to miss out!

Chip shook Big Sister's hand;
he must have remembered her from the campfire last night ;)

This excited face made waiting in the rain worth it!
