Grand Teton National Park (Jackson Hole)

Yesterday morning we arrived in Jackson Hole just in time to get the last spot at the campground! This is definitely a busy town. We went into Teton Village for lunch, and Big Sister was able to play on the playground there with some new friends. After driving through the park for a bit, we set up camp, and then John took Big Sister for a swim.

Today we packed a lunch and spent the day driving through and exploring Grand Teton National Park. Our first stop of the day was the visitor's center, so that Big Sister could get her "National Park Passport" stamped. She gladly stamped Little Bud's as well since he was napping. Our first stop was for a little hike along String Lake. We also stopped at the Jenny Lake overlook; it is amazingly beautiful! We drove up to the top of Signal Mountain, and the view down into the valley was also amazing. John and I ate lunch at the Jackson Lake Dam while the littles enjoyed a much needed nap. On the way back to the campground we walked around downtown to check out some of the shops. Big Sister ended the day with another swim in the pool.

Tomorrow we're headed to Yellowstone. We plan to drive back through Grand Teton National Park into southern Yellowstone on our way to West Yellowstone, Idaho. There's a fire somewhere south of here that has kept everything a little "smoggy", so we're hoping it's cleared up a bit before we head out in the morning.
