We're having a joint birthday party for family and friends to celebrate both littles in a few weeks (in between both of their special days), so we decided to have a special family celebration on each of their actual birthdays. For Little Bud's special day John was able to take a half day off from work, and we ate lunch at a mexican restaurant in Homewood (that boy LOVES guacamole and black beans!), had birthday pops (he had avocado, of course!) at Steel City Pops and then spent a few hours at the Birmingham Zoo. Big Sister helped him open all of his presents, and happily demonstrated how to properly play with each of his new toys. She's such a helper ;)
He goes for his official one year check up in a few weeks, so I'll document his one year stats after the appointment (Big Sister will have her 4 year check up the same day).
Happy Birthday sweet boy! It's been such a joy to see you grow and learn over the past year. You are fast becoming your own little person; it's quite fun to see your personality develop :) We love you so much, and are so thankful for you!
